Sustainability Assessment:
Sustainability Assessment is conducted with a fundamental purpose to direct planning and decision-making towards sustainability. This assessment differs from the one conducted by regulatory bodies for the purpose of project approval.
The sustainability assessment exercise appraises the design team and project proponents to make an informed decision to attain Green Building certification.
Depending on the desired rating system the project performance at the initial design is evaluated on various parameters e.g. site, energy, materials etc.
After the assessment the project team would be in a position to gauge the impending variations & inclusions to achieve the best certification level possible for the project. We offer services for the following green rating system in the country:
- Indian Green Building council (IGBC)
- U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)
- The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI)
- WELL Rating (International Well Building Institute)
Facilitation:
We guide our clients throughout the Green Certification process which would involve, providing design inputs in-line with the certification requirements, reviewing the design, incorporating rating requirements into tender specifications monitoring the construction stage deliverables, coordinating with various stakeholders and the certifying authority to achieve the highest possible certification for the project. Our qualified resources with extensive construction industry knowledge will be able to create a clear strategy on how the project can deliver on sustainability goals by addressing all aspects related to site, energy, water, waste, materials and indoor environment quality.
We also assist the project marketing team and support staff in understand the green concepts for better project marketability.
Energy Simulation:
Energy Simulation is a design assistance tool which helps in analysing the benefit of an Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) proposed on a project. The study helps in bench-marking the building design’s energy performance with energy standards like ASHRAE 90.1 & ECBC. Our in-house expert analysts offer input to optimize designs, suggest energy conservation measures & strategies which are cost effective.
This software-based approach encompasses building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information and quantities and properties of building components.
Fundamental & Enhanced Commissioning:
Third Party commissioning of building MEP systems is one of the mandatory requirements of the LEED & IGBC rating program. We have a team of in-house Testing & Commissioning experts who have rich experience in commissioning of various MEP systems. The commissioning process involves reviewing the MEP design, reviewing contractor submittals and witnessing functional testing of equipment. The overall objective of commissioning process is to ensure that the MEP systems deliver the efficiency as promised in design. Through enhanced commissioning process we also review the building operations for a period of 1 year after occupancy. During this phase we help the operation team in setting up dashboards to monitor energy and water consumption on daily and monthly basis and derive optimum benchmarks for efficient building operations.
