Mrs. Nyrika Holkar is Executive Director of the Company. Mrs. Holkar joined the Board on 1st April, 2017. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Philosophy and Economics from Colorado College, USA and obtained LL.B and LL.M degrees from University College London, UK. She is a member of the Bar Association of India and is a qualified Solicitor in the United Kingdom. She leads Digital Strategy, Brand, Legal and M&A of the Company and its subsidiaries.

In this capacity, she drives a company-wide strategy on building new digital interventions through online platforms and ecosystems to help improve customer experience, foster collaborative innovation, and enhance data-led decision making in business. A qualified solicitor, Mrs. Holkar is responsible for the Company's global legal strategy including supervising commercial contracts, structuring M&A transactions as well as the protection and enhancement of the organisation's intellectual property across its 14 businesses. As the Brand Custodian, she works closely with the Sustainability, Marketing and Communication teams across the Company with a focus on building a responsible corporate brand.

As a member of the Board of Directors she is also involved with key decisions related to business strategy, talent management and corporate governance. During her tenure as Executive Director, Mrs. Holkar has helped significantly reduce the Company’s Group's financial exposure by streamlining the negotiation and contract management process through an end-to-end digitised contract life cycle management platform. She is also a Director on the Board of Godrej Infotech Limited, a subsidiary of the Company and is involved in key decisions with regard to IT security and technology platforms across the Group and is working to enhance the Company’s partnership with startups and technology partners to improve the digital ecosystem for the Company businesses.

Mrs. Holkar began her career at legal firm AZB & Partners where she specialised in M&A transactions and advised foreign companies seeking to invest in India before joining the Company. She is an ardent supporter of the environment. As Chairperson of the Company’s CSR Committee, Mrs. Holkar is actively involved in the Company’s community development efforts including education, skilling and the preservation and protection of Mumbai's mangroves. Trekking and Wildlife are some of her abiding interests beyond work. She is a fellow of the Ananta Aspen Institute and is a member on the Boards of the Centre for the Advancement of Philanthropy. She is married and lives in Mumbai with her husband Yeshwant and her daughter.

Mr. Jamshyd N. Godrej is the Chairman & Managing Director of the Company. Mr. Godrej joined the Board on 7th October, 1974. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA.

Mr. Godrej is the Founding Trustee of Ananta Aspen Centre (previously known as Aspen Institute India), Chairman & Founding Trustee of Ananta Centre. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, India Resources Trust and Council on Energy, Environment and Water. He is a Director of World Resources Institute, USA. He is a Trustee of World Wide Fund for Nature – India. He is also a Global Trustee of the Asia Society, USA. He is the Past President of Confederation of Indian Industry and also the Past President of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association.

Mr. Godrej is the Chairman of the CII Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre. The Centre is housed in a LEED Platinum demonstration building which is the first green building in India and the greenest building in the world at the time when it was rated. The Green Business Centre is a Centre of Excellence for green buildings, energy efficiency, energy conservation, non-conventional energy sources, water policy, water conservation, etc.

The Company manufactures and markets refrigerators; washing machines; air conditioners; office furniture; home furniture; security equipment for banks (such as safes, strong room doors, bank lockers, etc.) and for commercial establishments and homes; locks and latches, forklift trucks and warehousing equipment; process equipment for chemical, petrochemical, refineries and allied industries; precision tools for sheet metal, zinc, aluminium; real estate development.

The Godrej group are leaders in home appliances, consumer durables, office equipment, industrial products, consumer products and services.

Mr. Godrej is an ardent yachting enthusiast and has done extensive cruising along the west coast of India, the Baltic & North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea.

The President of India conferred on Mr. Godrej the “Padma Bhushan” on 3rd April 2003.

Mr. Anil G. Verma joined the Company in 1983 and is currently serving as its Executive Director & President. Mr. Verma joined the Board on 1st October, 2008. He is an Engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has also completed an Executive Program from the Sloan School of Management, MIT, USA.

He has over 30 years of experience in functions such as Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing and has held leadership positions including those of the Business Unit Head for the Office Furniture business and the Executive Director and Head, Personnel & Administration. He is an Executive Committee Member of the Employer's Federation of India (EFI), on the Advisory Board of the CII Institute of Quality, is the Chairman of the CII National Taskforce on Industrial Safety and serves on Board of Governors of the National Safety Council of India (NSCI).He often serves as an Expert Member invitee for the Selection Committee of IIT, Bombay and has been a jury member for the sixth edition of 'Superbrands'.

Under Anil's leadership, the Company and its business units have received a plethora of recognitions over the years in areas such as quality, safety, marketing and manufacturing excellence. The firm has been awarded the NASEOH Award as the 'Best Employer' and the NCPEDP-Shell Helen Keller Award for the 'Best Employer' for the differently abled. He was the recipient of the RMI Roll of Honour for Life-time Achievement in HR at the National HR Conclave, HR 2.0, in 2010 and has been recognized as a 'Distinguished Alumnus' of the IIT-BHU Alumni Association during its Centenary Year in 2018.

Mr. Pradip Shah is an Independent Director and joined the Board on 10th August, 2004. Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Bombay. He is a qualified Cost Accountant and ranked first in India in the Chartered Accountancy examinations.

He founded IndAsia, a corporate finance and private equity advisory business, in April 1998. Prior to IndAsia, he helped establish the Indocean Fund in 1994, and was the founder Managing Director of The Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL), India’s first and largest credit rating agency.

He is currently Chairman of Sonata Software Limited and a Director of BASF (India) Limited and Pfizer Limited amongst other companies. He has given talks in India, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and the United States on credit rating, housing finance, capital markets, venture capital and other subjects.

Mr. Keki Elavia is an Independent Director and joined the Board on 1st May, 2012. Mr. Elavia is a Chartered Accountant in Public Practice. He serves as a Director on the Board of various listed and unlisted companies.

He is a member of India UK Accountancy Task Force, constituted by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. He is also a Trustee of educational and medical Trusts. The Reserve Bank of India appointed Mr. Elavia as a member of the Indian Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, where he was the Chairman of its Audit and Corporate Governance Committee.
